散りばめられた幾つもの矢＝道。どの矢を選ぶかは自分次第であり、それは同時に自分の道を自分で選ぶという永遠のテーマでもある。
そして、その道の先で起こることは良いことであれそうでないことであれ自分自身の責任であるというテーマをNATIVEアメリカン調のデザインに乗せて表現するWRらしいNEWグラフィック。
デザインアートはGDW STUDIO「WEE」氏。
武蔵野市在住のLEATHER作家であり人の肌にタトゥーを彫り込むのと同じ手法で、革にカービングを施し色を挿し込んでいく手法で類のないオリジナリティーを持つ。各方面から高い注目を集める新進気鋭のARTISTである。
●生地はORIGINAL HEAVY WEIGHT No.14 COTTON 100%。
WESTRIDEのオリジナルTEEは、丸胴の吊り機で編み立てる→サイドを割ってダブルシームで縫製→内側サイドの縫い代をカット→ネックはトリプルバインダー。と非常に手間のかかる仕上げとなっている。
この工程により、丸胴に見られるヨジレなどの型崩れもなく、肌触りも良好となる。
製品として安定した品質を実現している。
肌着としての側面も持つTEEだけに、プリント柄だけでなく、品質そのものに拘って生産しています。プリント手法に関しては、同一デザインであっても、ベースカラーやプリントカラー、プリントデザインを一つ一つ勘案し、各々ベストなものをチョイスし手刷りで行っている。（水性染込み、半ラバー、抜染、ひび割れなど）。
全グラフィックに各々のメッセージやストーリーが設定されている。
デザインを身に着けると同時に、それらの背景に目を向けてみるのも楽しみの一つになっている。デザインはフロントプリントがメインになる物とバックプリントがメインになる物との全体的バランスにも留意しながら、ウエストライドらしいアートワークでまとめ上げています。フロントデザインがメインとなるものはベストやシャツ＆ジャケット等とのレイヤード、バックデザインがメインとなるものにはトップアクセサリーとのセットアップ。また、ストーリー性を強く持たせたグラフィック系デザインと、シンプルにロゴ系デザインで魅せる2系統をバランス良く揃えているのも特徴です。Ｔシャツ単品での提案に終始するのではなく、「ファッションを存分に楽しむ」為のトータル・コーディネイトを考慮したラインナップとなっています。
Introducing the WESTRIDE Short Sleeve TEE PT 23-12
Scattered arrows represent many paths—choosing which arrow to follow is up to you, symbolizing the eternal theme of selecting your own path.
This design expresses the theme that whatever happens along that path, good or bad, is your own responsibility. The motif is inspired by Native American aesthetics, crafted into a distinctive new graphic true to WESTRIDE’s style.
The artwork is by WEE from GDW STUDIO, a leather artist based in Musashino City. Using the same techniques as tattooing on skin, WEE carves and colors leather, creating unique and original works. He is a rising artist attracting high attention from many fields.
● Fabric: ORIGINAL HEAVY WEIGHT No.14, 100% cotton.
WESTRIDE’s original T-shirts are made with great care: knitted on a tubular吊り機 (loopwheel knitting machine), split at the sides and sewn with double seams, inner side seam allowances are trimmed, and finished with a triple binder neck.
This process prevents twisting and deformation common in tubular knits, resulting in a superb fit and comfortable feel.
Beyond just print design, the production focuses on high-quality materials. Printing methods vary depending on base color, print color, and design, choosing the best for each, and are done by hand (including water-based dye infusion, semi-rubber, discharge, crackle effects, etc.).
Each graphic comes with its own message and story, encouraging wearers to appreciate the background as part of the experience. Designs balance front-print-dominant and back-print-dominant styles, all unified by WESTRIDE’s characteristic artwork.
Front-print designs pair well layered with vests, shirts, and jackets; back-print designs suit coordination with top accessories. The lineup features two balanced categories: story-driven graphic designs and simpler logo-based designs.
This collection is not just about standalone T-shirts but aims for total coordination to fully enjoy fashion.
