JELADO より“Hoghead Wabash Trousers”のご紹介です。
新しいワークパンツ「HOGHEAD」は、約1890年頃のVINTAGEをベースにして製作しました。。
このトラウザーは、機関車を動かす機関士を指す「HOGHEAD」と名付け、ヴィンテージの特徴的なディテールを再現しています。。
ベルトループがなく、負荷のかかる箇所を補強するために何度もミシンで上下させるという100年前のスタイルを忠実に再現しています。。
サスペンダーで吊すだけではなく、ベルトループも追加。
生地にはジェラードオリジナルの「WABASH」を使用しており、この生地はLAST RESORT シリーズの青タグと同様の糸を使用しています。
テキサスのディープサウスコットンを使い、3種類の番手の経糸を組み合わせ、ロープ染色でインディゴ染めした糸を緯糸に使用しています。
通常の青タグは右綾で製織されていますが、今回のWABASHはヴィンテージ同様に左綾で再現されました。
WABASHの特徴であるドットストライプは、ヴィンテージの見本を忠実に再現し、使い込むほどに縦のムラが強調され、独特の色落ちが楽しめるようになっています。
3種類の異なる太さの経糸を使用することで、縦の長さが不規則に表れ、独特の風合いが再現されています。
裏地にはヴィンテージ同様にプリントが施され、この特別なWABASHストライプをお楽しみいただけます。
▼ JELADO / Hoghead Wabash Trousers
Introducing the Hoghead Wabash Trousers from JELADO.
This new work pant is based on vintage styles from around 1890, faithfully reproducing characteristic details of the era. Named “Hoghead” after the locomotive engineers who operated steam engines, these trousers reflect the authentic construction and spirit of 100 years ago.
Notably, the design originally omitted belt loops, reinforcing high-stress areas with multiple rows of stitching—a technique meticulously recreated here. While the trousers are designed to be worn with suspenders, belt loops have also been added for versatility.
The fabric is JELADO’s original WABASH, using the same yarn as the LAST RESORT series’ blue-tag denim. The cotton is sourced from Deep South Texas and woven with three different warp yarn sizes, all rope-dyed in indigo for a rich hue. Unlike typical right-hand twill, this WABASH fabric is woven in left-hand twill, true to vintage originals.
The signature WABASH dot stripe pattern is precisely replicated from vintage samples, promising a unique fading process that emphasizes vertical irregularities and a distinct worn-in look over time.
Using three different warp yarn thicknesses also creates an irregular vertical texture that enhances the fabric’s authentic feel.
Additionally, the inside features vintage-style printed lining, allowing you to enjoy this special WABASH stripe in every detail.
