ジェラードより“ 41 KHAKI LASTLESORT CHINO CLOTH ”のご紹介です。


ラストリゾートデニムと同様に数種類のデッドストックのM41 KHAKIの中から厳選した個体を解体し、糸の太さ、ムラの形状、撚り回数、撚り方向など当時の生産背景、技術力を想定しながら徹底的に作り込んだ素材となります。

原綿はジェラードの基本、アメリカのディープサウスコットンを使用。

ムラの形状は強過ぎず弱過ぎず、自然なムラ糸を再現しました。

今迄の素材は反応染料で染めていましたが、この度は当時使用されていたスレン染料で染色しました。


スレン染料は現代の反応染料と比べると染料の質は落ちますが50年代頃の染料としては堅牢度、摩擦、日光に強く、当時としてはかなり優れた染料だったので、作業着やタオルなどタフさの求められる素材に使用されていた様です。

当時の様に経年変化を楽しむことが出来る様に米綿、シャトル織機、スレン染料を使用して洗い込む度、当時のヴィンテージを彷彿させる生地感に仕上げているのでジェラードの新41KHAKIを楽しんで頂けると思います。


原綿、糸、織り、染色、全てにこだわった究極のチノクロスそれがLASTRESORT CHINO CLOTH です。

特徴的なオフセットされたベルトループや、ヴィンテージ同様の2mm幅の両玉縁ポケットなど、再現性高く仕上げました。

通常ポケットはスレーキを使いますが、サンプリングしたヴィンテージ同様、別布のチノ生地を使用。

サイドシームのパッカリングも強く出てくるので、履いた時の無骨な印象を極太シルエットに足してくれます。

運針なども当時のピッチに合わせることでより41カーキらしいクラシックな雰囲気を表現しております。

股上も深く、ワタリも太めのヴィンテージに沿ったシルエットになっております。

Introducing the 41 KHAKI “Lastresort Chino Cloth” from JELADO—a meticulously reconstructed fabric inspired by vintage M41 khakis, created with the same obsessive attention to detail as our Lastresort Denim.

To develop this fabric, we carefully selected and deconstructed multiple pairs of deadstock M41 khakis. We analyzed every detail—from yarn thickness and slub character to twist count and direction—to replicate the production methods and textile technology of the era as faithfully as possible.

The base cotton is our signature Deep South American cotton, known for its durability and character. The slub yarns are subtly irregular, achieving a natural, vintage-like texture without being overly exaggerated.

This time, instead of modern reactive dyes, we used sulfur dye, just like the originals. While sulfur dyes have lower dye quality compared to today’s standards, they were highly valued in the 1950s for their strength, resistance to friction, and sunlight—perfect for workwear and other rugged applications. This means you’ll enjoy beautiful aging and patina with wear and washing, just like the real vintage pieces.

Everything about this chino cloth is built with authenticity in mind:
• Woven on shuttle looms using American cotton
• Dyed with sulfur dye for vintage-style fading
• Offset belt loops and narrow 2mm double-welt back pockets, true to the originals
• Pocket bags made from the same chino cloth, not standard drill fabric
• Heavy puckering along side seams for that rugged, worn-in aesthetic
• Vintage stitch pitch to replicate classic construction techniques
