▼ジェラード / JELADO JELADOより ”Mummy Academy Print 6th Man”のご紹介です。 BASIC COLLECTIONから「6th Man」シリーズとして初めてのプリントバージョンをリリースしました。 ボディは昨年同様に反応染めを施したブラックを使用し、シートフロッキーでプリントを表現しています。 このデザインは、ある考古学サークルのオカルト好きなミイラオタクたちが作ったチームTシャツをイメージしており、よくあるカレッジ系のデザインに落とし込んでいます。プリントにはシートフロッキーを使用していますが、下地にグレーのプリントを施すことで色に濃淡を出し、よりヴィンテージのような雰囲気に仕上げています。 ボディデザインは、1960年代のスウェットに見られるV字ガセット（袖と身頃の接続部分）がないスタイルをベースに製作されており、前Vのないデザインにもかかわらず、2本針の縫製で丁寧に仕立てられています。さらに、ヴィンテージアイテムからインスピレーションを受けて、7分袖のカットオフスウェットにアレンジしています。 生地にはコットン100%の吊り編み生地を使用し、起毛を施さずに製作しています。 生地のサイド部分はシーム処理され、糸に余分なテンションをかけずにゆっくりと丁寧に編み立てることで、自然な風合いと柔らかな生地感を実現しました。このスウェットの生地は「30/10裏毛」と呼ばれ、表側の天竺には30番手の細い糸、裏側のループには10番手の太い糸を使用して編み上げています。 これにより、適度な厚さと柔らかさを併せ持ち、一年を通して快適に着用できるスウェット素材となっています。「6th Man」という名前は、バスケットボールにおける「スタメン（先発メンバー）」に対応する控えの選手が活躍する役割を指します。常にチームに貢献し、どんな時でも力を発揮する選手をイメージしており、その思想を反映させたネーミングです。 ▼ JELADO / Mummy Academy Print 6th Man Introducing the Mummy Academy Print 6th Man from JELADO. This is the first printed version in the “6th Man” lineup from our BASIC COLLECTION. The body uses the same black fabric as last year’s model, dyed with reactive dye for long-lasting color, and features a sheet flocky print for added texture. The graphic design imagines a fictional team T-shirt created by a group of mummy-obsessed occult fans from an archaeology club, blending that quirky concept with a traditional collegiate aesthetic. To enhance the vintage feel, a gray underlayer is added beneath the flock print to create subtle tonal depth. The garment itself is based on sweatshirts from the 1960s that lacked the traditional V-gusset at the collar, yet it’s meticulously sewn with twin-needle stitching. The silhouette has been reimagined as a 3/4 sleeve, cut-off style, inspired by vintage cut-off sweats. Crafted from 100% cotton loopwheel fabric, the sweatshirt is made without brushing the underside, preserving a natural, breathable texture. The side seams are constructed to avoid adding excess tension to the yarn, allowing for a softer, more relaxed feel. The fabric, known as “30/10 loopback,” uses fine 30-count yarn for the outer jersey and thicker 10-count yarn for the inner loops. This provides just the right balance of thickness and softness, making it a versatile piece comfortable to wear throughout the year. The name “6th Man” is a nod to basketball terminology, referring to the vital sixth player who comes off the bench to energize and support the team—always ready to perform under any circumstance.
