▼WEST RIDE / ウエストライド ウエストライドよりシルバーウォレットチェーンのご紹介です。 3年以上の構想期間を経て、遂にリリースとなるWESTRIDE初のシルバーライン。 大人のシルバーとして、シンプルながら重厚な存在感と主張を持つジュエリーに仕上げました。 そのコンセプトは「BIKERジュエリーとOLD INDIANジュエリーとの融合」 制作パートナーに迎えたのは、各方面から大きな注目を集めている「LARRY SMITH ラリースミス」 今やオールドインディアンシルバーの若き第一人者と言われる「LARRY SMITH」と、10年以上に亘りバイカーズアパレルをコンセプトにブランドを展開してきたWESTRIDE。 両社が最も得意とする分野を協力体制で昇華させたラインナップです。 ●チェーンについて 19世紀前半頃のインディアンジュエリーのバングルをイメージして8ボール形状にアレンジ。 当時の特徴の一つでもある「線だけを入れた」スタンプワークを施している。 これは、まだ現在のようには道具も充実していなかった時代ならではの手法。 チェーン内側の処理はあえて荒い仕上がりに留め、使い込んで擦れていくうちに良い味が出るようにしています。 ●スネイクについて フックなどの留め具に使用されている蛇のパーツはRATTLE SNAKE（ガラガラ蛇）。 森羅万象に「意味合い」を持たせるインディアンにとって、蛇は「知性と挑戦」という意味があります。 WESTRIDEでは「バイクに乗って色々な経験を積みながら知識を身に着け、沢山のことに挑戦して行こう」という願いを込めています。 仕上がりについては、蛇特有の「動きのある形状」の表現にも拘りました。 ●コイン部分について モルガンコインを叩出して仕上げた原型にキャスティング。表面（SWASTIKA）と裏面（SKULL）でインディアンとバイカーの融合を表現している。 SWASTIKA→世界最古の十字架とも呼ばれる幸運のシンボル。LOVE（愛）/LUCK（幸運）/LIFE（生命）/LIGHT（光明）の各々4つの頭文字から構成されている。 SKULL→バイカーの最も定番とも呼べるイメージアイコン。 蹄鉄の中に骸骨が吸い込まれていくイメージには、死ぬまでバイカーという気持ちを込めている。 ●仕上げについて 全体をいぶし、水中で細かい砂粒子を使いながら手磨きで行っている。 18世紀後半から19世紀前半にみられたネイティブアメリカンの伝統的仕上げ方法。 決して裕福でなかった彼らが、道具に恵まれない状況下で培った知恵と自然との調和を活かして生まれた技法である。 ○カスタムオーダーにも対応しており、チェーンの長さを始め、スタンピング、石入れなど様々なオプションもご用意しています。 また、ピースコインを始めとした各年代のレアなオールド・モルガンコインを使用した多様なカスタムも可能です。 ▼WEST RIDE / Silver Wallet Chain Introducing WEST RIDE’s first-ever silver line after more than three years of development. Crafted as sophisticated adult silver jewelry, this piece balances simplicity with a substantial presence and bold statement. The concept is a fusion of “Biker Jewelry” and “Old Indian Jewelry.” Our production partner is the highly acclaimed artist Larry Smith, recognized as a leading figure in old Indian silver. Combining Larry Smith’s mastery of Old Indian silver and WEST RIDE’s decade-long experience in biker apparel, this lineup represents a collaborative culmination of each brand’s strengths. ⸻ About the Chain Inspired by 19th-century early Indian jewelry bangles, the chain features an 8-ball shape arrangement. It incorporates traditional stamp work characterized by “line-only” engravings, reflecting the primitive tools and techniques of the era. The inside of the chain is intentionally left roughly finished so that, through use and wear, it develops a rich, authentic patina. ⸻ About the Snake The snake piece used as a hook is a rattlesnake. In Native American culture, which imbues all things with meaning, the snake symbolizes intelligence and challenge. At WEST RIDE, it represents the desire to gain knowledge and embrace new challenges through riding experiences. Special attention was paid to expressing the snake’s natural, dynamic shape. ⸻ About the Coin The coin is cast from an original struck Morgan coin mold, featuring a fusion of Native American and biker motifs. The front displays a Swastika, one of the world’s oldest cross symbols representing Love, Luck, Life, and Light. The back features a Skull, a classic biker icon. The skull being drawn into a horseshoe symbolizes the spirit of riding until the end of life. ⸻ Finishing The entire piece is treated with an oxidizing patina and hand-polished underwater using fine sand particles. This traditional Native American finishing method dates back to the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It embodies the wisdom and harmony with nature developed by Native peoples despite limited resources. ⸻ Custom orders are welcome, including chain length adjustments, stamping, stone settings, and more.
